Incense - Kemenyan - Haminjon

North Tapanuli is one of the largest incense producing areas in Sumatra Province. Frankincense grows in many districts in North Sumatra, Indonesia. Original incense, which comes from Tapanuli, is the best quality in the world and has been exported to many countries because the quality is very good. The Batak people also do a lot of farming this incense known as haminjon (incense). Frankincense, also known as Olibanum, is a fragrant, crystal-shaped fragrance used in incense, medicines and perfumes. Sijama Polang sub-district, located in Humbang Hasundutan district, North Sumatra, Indonesia, is the largest producer of incense with a very large incense forest.
